Jake Robinson
Director
Jake is a naturalist and wildlife enthusiast from England, UK. Jake has a background in developing and scaling product and service driven businesses in London, and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA). In 2023, Jake left his job in tech to dedicate himself full time to Protect What You Love and wildlife conservation. In recent years, Jake has worked with wildlife research projects such as ExSitu Project.
Jake has a particular love for rainforests having been on expeditions to the likes of Peru, Costa Rica and Sumatra. As a person, Jake is ambitious, organised and warm. In the field, Jake is an excellent spotter of wildlife.
Tom Cannon
Director
Tom was born in England, and moved to Australia when he was 13. He is a photographer and videographer by trade, with an extensive history working underwater on the Ningaloo Reef, Western Australia. Tom has achieved international recognition for his photography work and has worked with the likes of National Geographic, BBC Natural History Unit and Sea Legacy.
Tom is an ocean lover and experienced diver and has dived all over the world. Tom has driven the organisation forward with his unwavering admiration and compassion for sharks and marine wildlife in general. As a person, Tom is passionate, humble and kind. In the field, Tom is always positive in the face of adversity.
Dani Cotoli Gomez
Business development & operations
Dani is an ocean explorer hailing from Valencia, Spain, who now lives in Melbourne, Australia where he works as a dive instructor and marketing creative. Before Australia, Dani lived in Dublin, Ireland, and is a registered tour guide in both Ireland and Spain!
Dani’s love of the ocean stems from his curiosity and fascination with the close symbiotic relationships found across coral reefs. Dani credits the ocean for giving him countless moments of joy and treasured memories for life. As a result of his curiosity and gratitude, he explores reefs obsessively and increasingly dedicates his time to educating others and trying to protect these ecosystems. Dani joined PWYL in 2021 and has become central to helping PWYL to grow as a business and ensuring that our customers and guests are happy. In the field, Dani has been known as the “turtle finder” and is always a source of positive energy. As a person, he is enthusiastic, thoughtful and committed.
Nat Strong
Communication
Nat is an Environmental Studies graduate who was born and raised in Tasmania, Australia. Nat works as a marine tourism operator and skipper, working in Tasmania in the summer, and somewhere new each winter (next stop Great Barrier Reef!).
Nat has been a wildlife lover since she was a child, starting her journey working in ecotourism after university so that she could be close to wildlife every day and get paid to do it. Nat loves the mystery and unknown in looking for wildlife and the wonder at finding something unexpected. In Feb 2024, Nat joined our team brimming with ideas and passion to help to protect wildlife and propel PWYL forward. Immediately resonating with our ethos and drive, Nat fit right in and got straight to work helping us to take meaningful steps towards better supporting our audience and customers in protecting wildlife. In the field, Nat is often the one planning the trips to ensure everyone gets there! As a person, Nat is adventurous, determined, and thoughtful.
